Stonewall United Church original
Grassmere United Church

The first congregational meeting held in the Grassmere District was in 1875. From that time until 2001, there has been a very strong, loyal and dedicated membership in this diverse farming community. The church building survived a fire in March of 1995 and through the drive and determination of the congregation to right their misfortune, Grassmere continued to do God's work with a deepened faith.
A few services are held in this church each year. In late 2001 there was a service of celebration held in recognition of a three point charge amalgamation of Stonewall United Church, Grassmere United Church and Brant-Argyle United Church.
